Recording Gamelan

One weekend of Gamelan recording wasn't as easy as it looked. The Zee Monster is at its most powerful here. And we had a tough time fighting it. Thankfully we had all our weapons, such as Redbull, Coffee, snacks, etc...

The tracking sessions went pretty well. We hooked up a Digidesign D-show profile with a Mac loaded with Protools LE. All signals came into the D-show, using it's preamps and direct out into Protools LE via firewire. The D-show also manages the monitor sends for all the musicians with the help from Aviom personal monitoring system as well.

The group couldn't play individually and the bleed from drums was pretty bad. All we can do is to minimise the bleed as best we could.
